First off, Hi Everyone!! I feel like I haven’t been active in forever and that’s mainly because I just finished my last week of college finals! It is such a weird feeling to finally be done with school, forever! I have been meaning to get around to talking about my experience with dermaplaning and lash/brow tinting but haven’t had time! So here it goes!!
Holy moly am I a huge fan of lash and brow tinting. I cannot express how life changing it is to have them done!! I have naturally really blonde lashes and brows, so I am constantly wearing mascara and filling in my brows. I decided to get them tinted at Bat ‘N Rouge Beauty in Knoxville by Christina and am hooked! Now that my brows are tinted, I don’t have to fill them in at all! When I wake up, it already looks like I have my brows and lashes done which I LOVE. Plus, it’s a huge time saver! If you are on the verge of getting yours done, do it do it do it. You’ll love it.
For dermaplaning, it was such a unique experience and exactly what my skin needed! Believe it or not, I have NEVER gotten a facial before. Crazy, I know. Dermaplaning is a type of facial that removes the layer of dead skin and hair on your face using a surgical blade (It’s not as scary as it sounds). The technique has a long list of benefits that include exfoliation, removal of unwanted hair, increased skincare absorption, plus it is said to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It was so relaxing and I was left with brighter, baby soft skin after! I loved how easy my makeup blended on my skin after as well.
If you live in the Knoxville area, definitely swing by Bat ‘N Rouge Beauty and request Christina! She did such an amazing job! Below I added a few photos from both my dermaplaning and lash/brow tinting appointments for you guys to get an idea of what goes on. If any of you have any other questions about my experience with these feel free to ask! Now go enjoy that eclipse today!! XO Heather
The photo to the left is all the dead skin and hair that was removed from my face! I couldn’t believe how much came off! My skin was a little red after the treatment, but that went away within a few hours. I also wore sunscreen on my face for the following week to protect my skin. It burns easier since it is such a fresh, new layer!
Lash & Brow Tinting:
I was super close to not sharing the photo below because I look absolutely terrifying, but I wanted you all to see exactly how it is done! The clear gel all over my forehead is to keep the dye from staining my skin. And my brows didn’t turn out that dark and thick! To the right is a photo of how my lashes (no mascara!) and brows ended up & I love them!
