Travel Guide: A Weekend In PCB
Last month, Chris and I went on a weekend trip to Panama City Beach and had such a great time! Before we know it we will be a family of 3, so it was really fun to have a little getaway just the two of us! It was both of our first time visiting PCB and the city created the most perfect itinerary for us, so I wanted to share that with you all incase you are planning a trip! From where to grab a coffee & smoothie bowl, to the perfect dinner spots, this itinerary covers everything.
I also wanted to mention how incredibly beautiful the beaches are there!! I couldn’t get over how white the sand was and the sunsets were truly stunning. If you haven’t visited PCB yet, add it to your list!! Thank you so much to Panama City Beach for hosting us, it was the perfect little babymoon weekend! (:
Where We Stayed:
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort and absolutely loved the location! It’s situated right on the beach and has the most incredible ocean views from the rooms. There were also tons of activities like the lazy river and live music to keep you entertained, plus so many more amenities.
Where We Ate:
Breakfast:
Andy’s Flour Power: open only for breakfast & lunch. The food was so yummy and you HAVE to stop at the bakery on the way out. Their cookies were soooo good!!
Finn’s Island Style Grub: we loved this spot so much, we went there twice! From their lattes, to their smoothie bowls, avocado toasts, and other breakfast foods - everything we tried was delicious! An absolute must in my opinion. They also serve lunch, which we wish we had time to try!
The Pour Coffee & Community: unfortunately, we planned to stop by here on our way out of town Sunday and when we went to go that morning, we learned that they are closed on Sundays! It looked like such a cool spot though, so we will definitely be going next time we visit the area!
Lunch:
Pelican’s Bar & Grill: located right on the beach, this open-air beach bar is a really casual and fun spot to grab a bite.
Schooners: another spot with fresh seafood, ocean views, and live music. A very casual place that is situated right on the beach!
Dinner:
Runaway Island: they had such a fun atmosphere and were located right along the ocean! The sunset views were really beautiful and we loved the live band. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a casual, fun dinner spot!
Grand Marlin: we absolutely LOVED this place! It’s a more upscale, relaxed environment and had a great selection of seafood. Make sure to reserve a seat by the windows to soak up the views of the marina!
Capt. Anderson’s: named among America’s Top 50 Restaurants and also inducted into Florida’s Restaurant Hall of Fame! I would be sure to request a window seat with a view when making your reservation to take advantage of the marina views.
What We Did:
Rented chairs out front of our resort and enjoyed an afternoon on the beach!
Paddle Boarding through the company “Paradise Adventures” located at the Sheraton Resort.
Couples massages at the Serenity Spa located in within the Sheraton Resort (this resort was beautiful by the way!! we loved exploring the grounds.)
Visited Pier Park! There are tons of shops & restaurants located here. Make sure to ride the SkyWheel when you’re there!
Sunset at St Andrews State Park. This park was stunning and we loved that there weren’t as many tourists around, so it was a bit more private and relaxing! It’s a beautiful location to take photos at as well - this is where we took some couples photos with Tabitha Corrine Photography!
Dolphin Sunset Cruise with Island Time Sailing.
