Wedding Planning: My Mood Board

You asked and I'm delivering! I'm turning Wednesday's on my blog into Wedding Wednesday's and hope to share with you all everything that I am learning and doing to prepare for the big day! So many of you have been wanting me to share every step of my wedding planning process and I'm so excited about that! In my first wedding planning post, I shared a ton of advice I received from you all on how to best go about wedding planning. A big thing that was mentioned was to get a wedding planner... so we got a wedding planner! This has seriously been such a stress reliever and made the process so fun! Basically, she handles all the difficult things such as setting up meetings and communicating with vendors, and we get to do the fun stuff!

Something to keep in mind: A lot of wedding venues these days offer a wedding planner and that is included in their price. They might offer a day-of coordinator, or they might even have something that helps you throughout the wedding planning process by referring you to recommended vendors and what not. I would consider this a "less hands on" wedding planner, whereas hiring a completely separate wedding planner will be super hands on and basically do everything for you. If you have a venue you absolutely love already in mind, I would suggest checking with them and seeing if they are an all-inclusive venue and offer a planner BEFORE you hire your own wedding planner.

We decided to hire a planner on our own though and boy am I thankful! The first thing she asked me to do was to create a Pinterest "mood board" to help her get a feel for what I like and envision. So, I created a private Pinterest board and added her to that!

Advice: Start over on your wedding board! I have a public wedding inspiration board that I have been pinning to for years (doesn't every girl??) and my style has changed sooo much since my first pin. If you don't want everyone seeing your new wedding board, set it to private and (if you want) add your mother, maid of honor, or whoever else is helping you plan! This will give you a clean slate to only pin images that correlate with your overall vision for your big day!

Below I am sharing with you all various Pinterest images that I have fallen in love with to give you a sneak peek of the vibe I'm going towards. These are the same images I am sharing with my wedding planner! Lots of greenery, neutral tones, rustic wood accents - that's basically the look we're wanting! I want the overall look to be simple, whimsical and romantic. If your style aligns with mine, I hope you get tons of inspiration and ideas from the photos below! And make sure to follow me on Pinterest for even more ideas. We have spent the week looking at venues and think we have decided on the one! I will share the date of our wedding once everything is finalized but I have a feeling September is going to be my new favorite month 😉 💕 Thanks for stopping by! XO Heather
