City Hopping: Sandpoint, Coeur d'Alene, Seattle, + More!

Hey everyone & happy hump day! Wow, this past week has been SO busy for me so I thought I would update you all on what I have been up to! For those of you that follow me on social media, you probably know that I have been bouncing around cities on the west side of the states the past 10 days. My mother actually moved away from the beautiful Seattle area to get away from all the busy streets and ever-growing cities; trading that in for a slower scene in the stunning Sand Point, Idaho! If you are unfamiliar with Sand Point, it is a quaint little town nestled between the base of a gorgeous ski resort and a 43-mile long lake known as Lake Pend Oreille. It was so much fun playing tourist in my mama’s new town, checking out the cute little boutiques, local farmers markets, and delicious restaurants. We also made our way to Coeur d'Alene during the trip for a girl’s day/lunch date. Idaho prides itself on their amazing huckleberries, so of course I had to taste their very own Riesling Huckleberry infused wine and it was delicious! If you ever find yourself in Idaho and at a restaurant that carries it, definitely order a glass! It’s pretty sweet, but I’m a lover of Riesling wines and sweets so it was right up my alley!

After exploring Sand Point and Coeur d'Alene for the majority of the trip, I jumped on a little hopper plane and headed to my hometown, Seattle! There is no explaining the sensation you feel while stepping out of SeaTac airport to breathe in the crisp, fresh, Seattle fall air. I love it! My bestie, Karlie Rae, picked me up from the airport and we headed to a cute little restaurant called The Black Duck Cask and Bottle. This restaurant is in Issaquah, so if you ever are in that area make sure to check it out and get the sweet potato tater tots!

Later that night we headed to Tacoma to celebrate a friend’s birthday at a fun country western bar called Steel Creek. Yes, my one night in Seattle, was at a country bar… I felt like I never left Tennessee! Anyways, they have a huge dance floor for line dancing and a bull… let me tell you, any bar that has a mechanical bull is practically screaming a good time. If you are looking for a fun night out with friends, switching up the typical Seattle vibe, check out Steel Creek! Just make sure to bring your line dancing shoes (:

The next day was spent watching the Seahawks game, go hawks! And then I was headed back to Knoxville.

While I will be home for a little bit, next month will be full of plane rides and sunny weather! Stay tuned to see where I am off to next!

Are any of you from the west coast? I would love to know! Let me know in the comments below (:
